We were asked to complete a business assessment which led to a growth strategy recommendation addressing all product lines, pricing and market channels.
Together with the CEO and his key managers, a strategic plan was developed with specific action plans. We assisted in restructuring, product development and external development projects. Subsequent to our initial work, the company experienced two years of record profits. This successful relationship continued for eight years.
Housewares Manufacturer
The undisputed leader in its category, the challenge was to define growth opportunities in a declining market. We directed a business assessment, including market research and
defined growth opportunities in internal product improvements, new product development and new market expansion, as well as potential acquisitions. The company increased sales to over $100 million within 3
years, and improved profit margins considerably.
Regional Specialty Foods Manufacturer
The Italian parent of an unprofitable US subsidiary retained Albu Consulting to prepare a business assessment and recommend a turnaround strategy.
Our recommendation called for focusing of the company’s resources on its core, higher margin businesses, divesting product lines, and outsourcing manufacturing on several secondary products. After the restructuring, and significant business improvements, the US division was sold to a large multi-national food company.

We were asked to assist in the evaluation of a multibillion dollar acquisition candidate. Our assessment was critical to the auction process
because the acquisition would significantly transform the client’s business.
Our team of senior consultants prepared a comprehensive review of all the candidates individual businesses and recommended to the Board specific action to be considered during the bidding process and into post-acquisition integration.

A division of this multibillion dollar food corporation was the category leader in a declining market. We were challenged to define
external growth strategy opportunities to protect and grow the division’s market position into the future. Together with the management team, a comprehensive strategic plan was developed and specific growth avenues
were defined leveraging core competencies and strengths. The division went on to solidify its national market share by way of strategicacquisitions, as well as internally developed new products.
